Vida Vacations Celebrates the Opening of The Grand Mayan Puerto Peñasco with Fanfare and “Fiestas Mexicanas”
New Vidanta resort debuts with unparalleled accommodations, golf and gourmet dining, including one of the largest “fiestas” in Mexico
PUERTO PEÑASCO. MAY 7, 2015 – Vida Vacations luxury resorts proudly announce the grand opening of their newest resort in Puerto Peñasco, The Grand Mayan. The Grand Mayan Puerto Peñasco offers an unparalleled level of luxury to travelers visiting Vidanta’s Puerto Peñasco resort, which also includes Mayan Palace. Every Thursday, the Grand Mayan Puerto Peñasco hosts a Fiesta Mexicana for 400 of the resort guests. Each fiesta is filled with traditional Mexican dancing, Mariachi music and a gourmet buffet dinner.
The resort architecture team took inspiration from the natural beauty of the surrounding desert and Sea of Cortez for The Grand Mayan Puerto Peñasco. Master rooms come standard with a Jacuzzi bathtub and a balcony with sweeping ocean views. Suites are the perfect option for families or guests who prefer longer stays and include a kitchenette, kitchen bar, dining table and a balcony complete with a private plunge pool.
Puerto Peñasco has long been a local favorite of those in the Southwest but has recently grown to become internationally known. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy the Jack Nicklaus Golf Course at Vidanta Puerto Peñasco, a Nicklaus Legacy course co-designed by Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II. The 7,210 yard, par-72 course is situated on a two-mile peninsula bordered by the Sea of Cortez, a tidal estuary and an inlet to the south. The course features nine ocean-side holes.
On-property restaurant options span a variety of global cuisines.
